Preparation

A simple step, taken early,
will make all the difference.
Why Optivive Exists
The problem isn’t surgery or performance. It’s being underprepared.
Modern surgery, chemotherapy, and high-intensity physical activity place enormous stress on the body. Yet most people enter these moments nutritionally depleted, often fasted, dehydrated, or relying on generic clear beverages that provide calories, but little else.
Optivive was created to address that gap: a functional beverage designed to support the body before stress occurs, not after the damage is done.

Who It's For
Optivive isn’t for one type of person, it’s for moments that demand more from your body. Whether you’re preparing for a procedure, pushing physical limits, or powering through a demanding day, it helps you go in fueled, supported, and ready, so you’re not paying for it afterward.

The Story
Michael S. Beckenstein, M.D., is a double-boarded plastic surgeon who realized how important nutrition is to all surgical patients during his burn unit experiences. Good nutrition promotes wound healing, boosts immunity, and reduces infection and discomfort while making recovery easier. Throughout the 25 years of his practice, he has advised and prescribed his patients' nutrition regimens to use before and after surgery. He even received certifications in nutrition and sports performance nutrition.
Over the years, he continued to evolve and improve upon these regimens as new products became available. When the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) was introduced, patients could consume a clear beverage, such as Gatorade or Powerade, 2 hours before surgery.
A Vision
Dr. Beckenstein adopted this practice for his patients but also had the vision to improve it. He envisioned a beverage full of ingredients providing fuel and essential nutrients to allow patients to undergo surgery as they were fully nourished.
Optivive was developed over four years with the expertise of Dennis Morales and Drinklabs. This formula is great for surgical patients, colonoscopy preparation, chemotherapy patients, and those with a cold or flu. Optivive is also beneficial for rigorous workouts and alleviating hangovers.
